Time is Running Out to R.S.V.P. for Saccone’s Veterans Appreciation Family Picnic
JEFFERSON HILLS – Rep. Rick Saccone (R-Allegheny/Washington) will host a family picnic in appreciation of local United States military veterans on Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Clairton Sportsman’s Club, 412 Coal Valley Road, beginning at 1 p.m.
“Whether they defended our nation’s freedoms during World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, the Gulf War, the ongoing war against terror or even during peace time, the uncompromising sacrifices made by our local veterans provide both living and textbook examples of America’s enduring dedication to victory, whatever the cost,” said Saccone. “As a United States Air Force veteran and now a state lawmaker, I believe that honoring our military heroes through this special family picnic is the least I can do to see that every single veteran living in the 39th Legislative District truly understands how much their service to our country and our Commonwealth is valued and appreciated.”
To ensure as many veterans as possible can attend, Saccone is asking local veterans, their friends or their family members from the 39th Legislative District to R.S.V.P. to his Jefferson Hills district office at (412) 653-1025 no later than Monday, Aug. 6.
